DIY LIGHT FIXTURES

I'm looking to update my dining room fixture because it's the same fixture the woman who owned the house before, had put in. It's very shabby chic, and although I do love good shabby chic decor to a degree, this just isn't our style. I found some fixtures that I love, and seem easy enough to create and install. What do you think?
