Tutorial Tuesday and Giveaway Time!!

Hi friends!

Sorry, it's been a few days since I've posted.

I'm not trying to neglect my blog, but I've been making changes and super busy, so I guess things just happen and time slips away.

I went to a lovely wedding this weekend in Santa Cruz, I've been creating some new fall items and getting ready for a craft show later in the year.

All of this AND still working a full time job, can wear one out! However, this is all part of the dream, so my thought is, I'll just work my butt off until things really pick up for Feather and Branch and then maybe I can relax.

HA! That was a joke. Running your own business is NOT about relaxing...I know this! But, working for myself and my clientele, well, that's a great thing to work towards, so, I'm just gonna keep on goin.

Tutorial Tuesday:

I found this sweet little tutorial online and wanted to share it with you.

I love these amazing jewelry and accessory tutorials made out of scraps lying around the house or vintage finds. Reviving un-used and forgotten items is not only fun and whimsical, but it's also very green. I can totally get behind that. :)

This is a braided necklace made out of fabric. Isn't it cute?! Not only can you make these for yourself, but it would be a fun craft to do with your kids.
Here is the link for the full tutorial...easy peasy....

I hope you enjoy making a few of these, I know I will!!

August Giveaway:

I'm so happy to have made 101 "hearts" on Etsy, so I wanted to do a little giveaway to say "thanks" for all of the support.

You will win $20.00 to my shop and a sweet pair of owl post earrings (not to mention a lovely wrapped package in the mail) and this is ALL you have to do:

1) Leave a comment here with your name.
2) Fan "Feather and Branch" (the local business, not group) on face book and come back and post it here.
3) If you are NOT already a follower of this blog, become one and get an extra entry (be sure to leave a comment saying you are a "new follower")

That's all! Pretty simple huh?
I want to thank you ALL for your support and kindness during this endeavor in my life. It means so much!
Good luck...
♥D
